ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Junior Social Media Manager to join our Audience Development team at Footballco, focusing on some of our most engaging brands: GOAL, GOAL’s Front Three, and GOAL’s FanZone. In this role, you’ll work with a dedicated team to develop and execute social strategies that grow our audience across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Snap, and Instagram. You’ll be deeply involved in the ideation and creation of video content, publication schedules, and community management.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who lives and breathes social media, has a knack for video content, and is eager to make a mark. While professional experience is not required, we’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for social platforms, ideally with their own YouTube channel or experience creating and publishing content independently. A love for data analysis and performance insights is essential, as you’ll be continuously tracking and evaluating content performance with an intense curiosity to learn and improve.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Platform Management: Assist in managing and growing our presence across YouTube, TikTok, Snap, and Instagram, tailoring content to each platform’s audience.
Content Creation & Ideation: Contribute ideas to video IP development and participate in brainstorming sessions to bring fresh, engaging ideas to our audience.
Publication Calendars: Help manage content calendars, ensuring a steady stream of quality, timely content aligned with audience interests.
Community Management: Engage with fans and followers, fostering a strong, active community around our brands.
Data Analysis: Track, analyse, and report on social media metrics to optimise performance and refine content strategy, driven by a love for insights and improvement.
Thumbnails & Visuals: Create and edit basic visuals, including thumbnails, using Photoshop or similar tools.
WHAT YOU HAVE
A deep passion for social media and understanding of the latest trends and platforms, particularly video.
Ideally, experience creating and managing content on your own YouTube channel or social media pages.
Basic knowledge of Photoshop or other design tools to create compelling thumbnails and visuals.
A strong sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for performance analysis, with a drive to understand and improve content impact.
Flexibility for shift work, as you’ll be working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
Creativity, curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
