ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Multimedia editor for Footballco in Africa, you will play a critical role in ensuring our key business strategies are successful. You will work closely with the GOAL Africa managing editor, the social media team, sales team and a number of freelance videographers, on screen talent, producers and editors to bring our editorial and commercial multimedia strategies to life.
Your expertise in video editing, graphic design, project management and brand awareness will drive your day-to-day role and the ability to collaborate and communicate with both internal and external.
The successful candidate will have the ability to create, plan and execute best in class multimedia outputs ranging across multiple established formats and bring new ideas to the table.

Responsibilities:
Editing, planning, and developing video formats of your own for others to work with and execute
Project management and scheduling of multimedia projects
Proofreading subtitles and video content, and shaping scripts for videos.
Collaborating with people in various in-house teams, whether it’s procuring and working with third party assets, or leaning on the wider Footballco network.
Managing a team of videographers, graphic designers, on-screen talent and video editors to deliver social and on-site multimedia content.
Recruiting and/or sourcing third-party contractors and suppliers to deliver projects within budget restraints
Working with our commercial partners to deliver on-site and social facing campaigns.
Proactively increase personal knowledge of Adobe and related products as well as AI developments in the multimedia field
Managing the publishing and growth of our YouTube channel
General:
Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures
Provide support to the Managing Editor for Africa in implementing programs and executing operational and organisational objectives
Undertake any other such duties or general tasks and hours of work as may reasonably be required and to work in other locations within the Company
WHAT YOU HAVE
Excellent knowledge and experience of using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Desired knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects.
An understanding of the specific requirements of platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
Impeccable collaboration skills to work with our audience development team but also the Footballco network.
Capable of quick turnarounds, with multiple projects on your plate at any given moment.
Understand brand guidelines and correct application of assets.
Effective communicator and team player who will collaborate with our producers and editors to create compelling work.
A keen interest in industry trends and remaining ahead of the game.
Attention to detail that vets not just your own work but those of your colleagues and makes small improvements to it, day in and day out.
Relevant university degree, equivalent qualification or experience working in social media, video production, or another relevant multimedia field.
