ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Producer to join our exciting and expanding video department.
At Footballco, we live at the intersection of soccer and culture and are looking for creative and innovative candidates passionate about the beautiful game from the grassroots to professional levels.
Our U.S. video team is responsible for producing best in class editorial and commercial content for our channels and brand partners. You’ll be joining a team with a start-up mentality, hungry to tell soccer related stories and grow the sport in the U.S.
Successful candidates know how to create content from ideation to completion. They’re strong communicators who work well on a deadline and thrive when the ball is handed to them for that extra time spot kick. This person knows the importance of pre production and has experience working with clients. The ideal candidate can shoot video, lead an edit, and deliver a final product.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Oversee end-to-end production including ideation, execution, and delivery of content for branded and non-branded content on tight deadlines
Execute brand partnership briefs based on client specifications
Work within a small team and on your own to create new storytelling and revenue driving formats including social media shorts, original shows and series, and live streamed content
Lead efforts in researching, planning and delivering filmed content for digital platforms
Oversee remote field shoots across the U.S. including managing staff and freelance crews on large-scale productions
Plan video shoots, including casting, scouting, booking travel, contract execution.
Own the budgeting process, tracking of costs, and expense reconciliation
Work with the client services team to meet the needs of commercial clients including calculation of costs and workback schedules
Oversee the post production process, handling notes from clients, and executing amendments
Source manage a network of freelance production partners to support projects around the country
This role will domestic and international travel (about 30% of the time), flexible hours, and weekend work
WHAT YOU HAVE
Video producer with at least 4 years of experience working on branded content campaigns (ability to direct is a bonus)
You are a passionate soccer fan with a deep understanding of the sport, key teams in the US and abroad, and the personalities who make-up the game’s zeitgeist (MAJOR plus if you follow the US Men’s and Women’s game)
Skilled in creating content for social channels including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok
Strong organisational skills and ability to look ahead in content planning and automated workflows
Deep understanding of technical production including shooting video content on Sony or Canon cameras. Including using associated equipment such as lighting, accessories and microphones.
A high level of comfortability in Adobe ecosystem and an understanding of remote editing workflows
Knowledge of content the rights management ecosystem relating to soccer content
Comprehensive experience in budget creation, tracking and reconciling
Comfortable and confident in working with talent from players, to celebrities, to fans
Effective communicator and team player who will collaborate with creatives, designers, account managers and strategists to create compelling work.
Strong interpersonal skills and a good attitude to help build culture on a new team
