ABOUT THE ROLE
Footballco is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Junior Editor to join the Affiliate team. Working with the Head of the Affiliate in London, you will manage Ticket and Travel affiliate content on GOAL, primarily targeting readers in the UK and US. You will implement daily strategies, mostly SEO-related, designed to inspire purchase decisions. The junior editor will be responsible for the success of Ticket and Travel articles and will manage a variable budget for commissioning freelancers.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Edit and manage the content production and publishing of Ticket and Travel articles produced by freelancers.
Support the wider Affiliate team in writing and updating Ticket and Travel articles.
Work with the SEO team to maintain day-to-day SEO best practices.
Partner with audience leads to track KPIs and assist with strategy to identify audience growth opportunities.
Research trends to improve headlines and publishing strategy.
Assist the Head of Affiliate with seeking out global audience growth opportunities and implementing new strategies.
WHAT YOU HAVE
4+ years of experience in editorial publishing
Experience with creating consumer-focused editorial content
Excellent skills in using SEO, social media and other channels to deliver audience growth
Knowledge of data tools used to understand and develop audiences
Ability to clearly articulate and present audience insights.
